SteamPunk photoshoot we did for fun, with a 1940's twist.
The original photos were darker (which is usually my preference) but I lightened them to show off the costumes better. Costumes by Michelle Kuzilla-Spoor. (me) Photography by Julian Bakker. Make-up by Erica Harris. Hair by Richard Manning. Aviator model Jacquelyn Haug. Machine model Carly Parkin. Mechanic Model Ambryn Ethier. The entire concept for this project was in the end a mixture from everyone. It was Richard's idea to do something for our portfolios, originally wanting to shoot some girls in some 1930's lingerie(oh boys..) Julian suggested steampunk(never heard this term before that day) and told me to watch "The Golden Compass", and from there I took over. I created some characters (being a costume designer) and Erica was able to come up with some wicked make-up to suit each one, while the girls then fully took on new personas for the shoot! PS. none of these girls had done any modeling before (amazing!) |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
